Burnout among healthcare professionals runs both broad and deep. Numerous studies in the past decade show that nearly half of all physicians and one-third of nurses report at least some of symptoms of severe burnout syndrome, if not all of them. The three classic symptoms of burnout are emotional exhaustion (feeling drained and hopeless), depersonalization (becoming detached and uncaring), and reduced accomplishment (feeling as if what you are doing isn’t helpful and doesn’t matter).
Even if you are not at the point of burnout, physicians and other caregivers are not immune to stress; in fact, rates of stress in healthcare professions are increasing as well, and are on the spectrum that can result in frank burnout. Yet an emerging body of literature and research in neuroplasticity, is demonstrating that practices of mindfulness, including meditation, yoga, and time in nature, significantly improve feelings of resilience and decrease stress, anxiety, and depression.

As a physician leader, I’ve spent the last 15 years trying to make things easier for clinicians in order to improve their fulfillment in our sacred calling by improving workflows, and alignment and communication in several organizations. What I have found is that the most important, most meaningful changes that improve long term satisfaction and fulfillment are those changes that each individual makes within themselves.
I have struggled with low job satisfaction, even burnout at times and interpersonal relationships which have suffered because of how I showed up in them. As soon as I stopped blaming what was going on around me and started looking inward, I found sources of suffering that I was creating. When we are unconscious of a belief that may not be serving us, we tend to follow conditioned patterns of thoughts, emotions, behaviors and we continue to get the same results. That is exactly what was happening to me. When I backtracked from the results in my life into my psychological operating system, my core beliefs, I found paths to different outcomes.
You will be guided through experiences of self-discovery to understand how your beliefs and thoughts create emotions and how your unconscious reactions versus conscious responses to those thoughts and emotions influence (actually create) your results. Through awareness and choice, you can create anything that you believe is possible
My entire life has been dedicated to personal development, spirituality, transformation, and searching for the most powerful methods to assist people in healing. Over the last decade, I have been blessed to travel the world, and work with everyone ranging from billionaires, doctors, entrepreneurs, to mothers, top sales people, and teenagers teaching them emotional intelligence skills and facilitating deep emotional healing. I have helped thousands go to the next level, and create lives beyond their wildest dreams.
I received my Masters in Integrative Coaching through The Ford Institute for Coaching at JFK University. I am a member of the International Coach Federation & The International Association of Coaching. I studied at Chopra Center in Southern California under the direction of Dr. Deepak Chopra and the late Dr. David Simon, receiving a Teaching Certification in Primordial Sound Meditation. I am a Heartmath certified coach in teaching how to build emotional, physical and mental resiliency.
